As with English rhetoric, the basic flow is left to right.

The 8-10+6-20 FORMULA means the FUNCTION (chain) COMPOSITION, or 8 >_-10_> ? > _+6_> ? > _-20_ > ? ... or, written with parens, ((((8)-10)+6)-20) .
