It's especially the group aspect that's worrisome.
Individuals who can decide on their own are often much more susceptible to reason than people who are operating as members of a group.
And it's not unthinkable that the opinions and/or practices of the entire team changes, you know. Either gradually, or because one of the members is a bit more persuasive, etc. etc.
