Haim and his ilk claim that: "'Climate change' is the worst scientific scandal of our generation"
The following seems true enough: The work of the scientists at the University of East Anglia on 'climate change' thesis is definitely questionable (in my view); as scientists they have definitely failed.
But does that go to prove the charge that Haim and his ilk are making, that 'climate change' is "The Worst Scientific Scandal of Our Generation"? Not by a long shot, as several postings at this thread have clearly demonstrated.
Particularly in view of the easy (indeed, joyful) acceptance by Haim and his ilk of what was probably the worst 'unscientific scandal' since Goebbels, namely:
ALL the works of War Criminal GW Bush and his Gang, starting with:
a) his first election;
b) the phony (i.e. nonexistent) "weapons of mass destruction" in Saddam Hussain's Iraq - remember those? - that led to the Iraq War: 1 million-odd Iraqis slaughtered, about 5000 US troops killed; around $ 700 BBBBBBILLION squandered; the attention of the whole world focussed on that foolish war (which still continues) when real social and scientific problems needed and still need to be worked on;
c) the claim that there was a daily advisory from Jesus Christ to GW Bush that everything he was doing was the right and Christian thing to do;
d) the Hurricane Katrina affair: remember "You're doin' a great job, Brownie!" ???;
e) and so on and so forth, practically ad infinitum, till Obama dumped John McBush and Sarah What's-her-name into history's garbage heap. No claims being made here by me that Obama is doing a GGGGGREAT job of leading the US - he is actually performing, in my view, rather less-than-satisfactorily as POTUS; but he is DEFINITELY and DEFINITIVELY doing way, WAY better than War Criminal GW Bush ever did; and, probably, way, way better than John McBush and Sarah What's-her-name would have performed had they won in 2008).
Questions:
How come we didn't hear a peep out of Haim and his ilk against all the proven MAJOR criminality of GW Bush and Gang?
What happened at the University of East Anglia was, I agree, most condemnable and a very wrong way for those 'scientists' to behave; if criminal, then it has to be regarded as 'minor criminality'. How could this failure of scientific integrity on the part of one small scientific group be conflated to become "The Worst Scientific Scandal of Our Generation"???
And how come Haim and his ilk are making such a HUGE thing out of a scientific failure - perhaps even a scientific fraud - by just one group supporting the view (held by a huge number of scientists, in case Haim and Gang have not happened to notice) that climate change poses a grave danger to humanity?
(Something smells very foul indeed here - and it definitely is not the view that 'climate change poses a grave danger' that is stinking).
