Why is it nonsense? It will do you no good to just say something is true or false without providing evidence for your claims.
There are many examples of legal usage of language where things or events have to be defined more precisely than in everyday life. Please pay attention to what you read it is very obvious that language is used differently where difference count or cause conflict, stupid.
