I think a lot of the issues stem from the distractions that kids have these days. There is a lot going on for kids both in and out of school and that has led to a lack of focus at times, in my opinion. I am 13 years out of high school and it seems as though things have changed dramatically over those 13 years. When I was in school, my focus was on classwork first, sports second, any other extracurricular activities third and everything else fourth. I realize I am not that far removed ... what do people who are further removed from high school think of that?
