Re: urgent question that needs a response

We offer Math 9 and Math 10 courses in which students would take the Algebra Exam in Jan. of their sophomore year. As a result of the cancelling of the Jan. exams now they'll take it in June of the sophomore year. I couldn't imagine most of these students in a regularly paced Algebra and/or Geometry course. Good luck.
Tony George Math Dept. In other words, there will be no 1.5 year program or 2 year program for Integrated Algebra. By the way, all SPED students are also expected to take the 1 year program. There are absolutely no exceptions! And...the same thing is being done for Geometry as well.
So my question for you is this: Does your school offer only one level of Integrated Algebra for ALL students in the building? What do you think of this plan?
I'm sorry, but I need responses quickly because we are supposed to run next year's schedules later this week.
Thanks in advance!!!
Jim
