I've used Calculus in Motion when I taught volume by revolution and by
known cross sections. There are excellent visuals that make it extremely easy
to see the diagrams and the volumes that are formed.

You might also want to consider using Geogebra, which is a free
downloadable software that you and your students can use and it pretty much does
everything that Sketchpad can do.
