You "assurance" is wrong, Gerald.
The appearance of Sirius from behind the glare of the central Sun due to the orbital motion of the Earth cannot be appreciated by those who put Sirius in stellar circumpolar motion and that is a huge price people pay for the right ascension culture.
The appearance of Sirius linked to 1461 days and the extra rotation of a 24 hour day after 4 consecutive period of 365 days/rotations should be enough to consider the AM/PM designations of the Lat/Long system as the core system and the Ra/Dec system as a calendar based overlay but I am not going to chase anyone with that one, many make their living as astronomers here or teachers of astronomy and an imbalance of 1465 rotations in 1461 days as per your unfortunate 17th century right ascension conclusion is unsightly and unacceptable.
My assurances are correct and always will be so and if you cannot appreciate the orbital setting of Sirius and its rising due to the orbital motion of the Earth as it brings Sirius into view from behind the glare of the central Sun then sorry but you have something to judge yourself by as to how good or bad of an astronomer you are.
