OK, the point was Double Tail End Recursion and Reverse Polish
Notation

are both ways to traverse a Directed Acyclic Graph

PRV(a) ^ PRV(b) -> PRV(x)
PRV(c) ^ PRV(d) -> PRV(y)
PRV(x) ^ PRV(y) -> PRV(z)
