thanks for the link, i knew it already. that's a
simple and clever method on 4 decimals; but it requires
some practical proof to get ~8 decimals precision.
btw, by using a couple of lookup tables
it is possible to make it completely branchless,
just because those magnitudes (of 2's factors) depend
on positions of a single bit.
