Should I obtain a copy of R to do these tests? (Much as I would like to, I'm NOT going to ask you if you would be willing to do 24 of these tests for the intra-fold correlations, 12 more for the intra-class correlations, and 1 more for the cross-class correlation.)
The example of possible heteroscedasticity that I sent you off-line does NOT recur with any regularity, at least not as markedly, but the fact that it occurs even once suggests (at least to me) that from a due-dilegence point of view, "official" homoscedasticity testing may be necessary.
Also, I think the reason that we didn't see any heteroscedasticity at all with the original length intervals is that they were generally larger than the new constant ratio length intervals, and this obscured any underlying tendency toward heteroscedasticity in the lnc-lne on lnc-lnL correlation ...
