Thanks for the many years you have put in as our moderator. I don't think people know the amount of time that you have put in on this task. Again, thank you very much.
I am sure that new AP Calculus community will be as useful and efficient with Lin as our new moderator.

As the AP Calculus EDG approaches the end of its 15th year as an email based discussion list, it is going to undergo a major change in format, moving to the College Board?s new web-based AP Community Forum. There are currently 5900 members of this EDG.
Already 6 AP EDG's have closed, moving to the AP Community Forum and the rest will make the move by this Fall.
Email based discussion lists have been getting more difficult to manage due to the ever increasing volume of spam mail and spam prevention devices. List hosting costs were always increasing and Lyris stopped developing its ListManager program for Discussion Lists 6 years ago. So for the past 2-3 years, the College Board has been investigating alternative platforms.
The AP Community Forum is Web based and includes space for learning resources. You will be able to arrange email notification of new postings, but replies to discussions will be written on the Community Forum website. There are also many more options for organizing discussions than is possible with the Lyris List Manager program and you will be able to post learning resources.
It is a much more flexible platform than an email based discussion list. Most of you already have the necessary account on AP Central because you have completed the audit process. But College Faculty and others will need to sign up for the Forum beginning at:
Unfortunately, I gather that it will not be possible to continue to archive AP Calculus messages on the Math Forum. I expect, however, that the current archives (90,000 + messages) back to 1997 will remain there. Michael Boardman was the first moderator.
There will also be another change: After 7 years I've decided to step away from moderating this EDG at the end of June. I am very grateful that Lin McMullin has agreed to take over the moderating duties.
