Hooray, hooray. A paper has finally appeared on two-term recurrence formulae for indefinite algebraic integrals:
<http://arxiv.org/abs/1209.3758>
I wonder though if this might be a hoax. In his Introduction, the author manages not to mention the additional 'numerator' polynomials (those with coefficients A, B, C) on which his formulae crucially depend. And the remainder of his paper looks like a giant case of abbrevitis: the discriminant of the quartic a + b*x + c*x^2 + d*x^3 + e*x^4 in Section 3 is shortened to sa*re - 2*sb*rd + sc*rc1 for instance.
Should somebody try to supply the 136 proofs perhaps?
Holmes.
