Hi,

Is it correct that RMS can be calculated in two ways for my input vector
"inVec" ?

RMS1 = sqrt( mean(inVec)^2 + var(inVec) );
RMS2 = sqrt( 1/length(inVec) * sum(inVec.^2) );

ans =

58.8831

ans =

58.8811

Why is there a difference ? Round-off error or something else ?

I suspect something else.
