Yes. My old computer died, so I recently got a new computer with windows 8 installed (so I have no choice on which OS to use).
I moved the installer to Program files/Matlab like the poster above me said. Then I opened it. It will get to a dialogue window that says it's reconfiguring Microsoft Visual C++ 2005, gets to 0%, then... nothing happens. Matlab never installs.
Does this mean I need to download visual studio as well?
