If it is a graphing approach, the students are done anyways. I would try to make their little bit of time with you as enjoyable as possible.
Imagine "Intermediate Piano: A Listening Approach"
When you have studied curriculums as much as I have over the time span I have, you realize that these absurdities are the result of pressing more and more students into material that they are very very much unprepared for. These subjects were taught in a manner to be understood and owned because that is their worth, to the student. A superficial opinion of the subject isn't worth anything, except it keeps the math instructor employed. I don't think saying this disqualifies my membership in the math club. In the NCTM, probably.
