The first table below expresses two scientifically reasonable results regarding our 3-way interactions for eS, uS, euSe, and euSu at specific length intervals as well as across all length-intervals.
I would take the time to explain the scientific meaning of these results, but unfortunately, the second table below shows that these results do not withstand a plausible Bonferroni correction.
I have an idea as to what may help improve this situation, and will implement it at the same time as I?m running the centroid analysis of (e,u,c)|L (assuming you teach me how to map e,c,u into [0.1].)
Basically, the idea is to define uL and uH more carefully, as follows. For each cell of the design, we can obviously calculate the mean of u and (mean+/-2SD). We use these follows to say that u is in uL if it is below mean-2SD and in uH if it is above mean+2SD. This definition of uL and uH will, I think, get rid of a lot of ?crap? in the middle that?s obscuring what?s really going on.
But again, please be assured that even though I am going to rerun the regression analysis with this new definition of uL and uH, I fully intend to run the centroid analysis of (e,u,c)|L. If the new regression analysis yields results that do withstand a Bonferroni correction, then they should line-up with what ever results are obtained from the centroid analysis.
