A most interesting (and useful) discussion on which, like Robert Hansen, I am torn:

- -- I rarely use cursive writing any longer (since I started using the computer) - and the quality of whatever little such writing that I may put up has severely deteriorated.

- - I do use it for taking notes - but even that is not much these days.

- - On the other hand, I cannot seem to bring my mind to accept the idea of "doing away with cursive writing in school".
