Is this a simplified version of what you want to do?
My solution would involve amalgamating the 72 matrices into a singular matrix first of all.

>> a=[1 2 33]';
>> b=[4 8 6]';
>> c=[7 5 3]';
>> d = [a b c];
>> e = max(d,[],2)

> Hi, please I have 72 matrix with dimension 1000 * 1 for each one ,I want to get a matrix also 1000 * 1 with each element represents the maximum value of corresponding elements of the original 72 matrix . Like make comparison between the first element of each 72 matrix and so on .Thank u
