Golly. Look at all those assumptions you're making about how the numbers were chosen! Intended solution this, practical point of view that, what a teacher would do...
The problem said you have _no_ information about how the numbers were chosen. As I suggested the other day, you're ignoring that and using all sorts of "information" that's not given.
