You seem blindered by a bit of a "startegy" fixation. Solutions come from hunches or half-baked inspirations as often as from well-defined strategies. (And, so-called strategies might sometimes be retro-fited like post game analysis.) When you tried to solve the problem, were you looking for strategies or solutions?
