Too late maybe for you, but there's always people looking for the same questions (as me).

The easiest way I found to do that is with a butter filter and with fitfit. I don't know if every butter filter works with fitfit but the ones I've used does. The way of use fitfit with a filter object is:

h = fdesign.bandpass('fst1,fp1,fp2,fst2,ast1,ap,ast2', Fstop1, Fpass1, ...
Fpass2, Fstop2, Astop1, Apass, Astop2, Fs);

Hd = design(h, 'butter', ...
'MatchExactly', 'passband', ...
'SOSScaleNorm', 'Linf');

y = filtfilt(Hd.sosMatrix,Hd.ScaleValues,x);

Cheers
