If all they learned was the rap song would you still consider it part of STEM? How can it be part of STEM if it isn't in the context of STEM?
Is learning the names of the elements part of STEM? No. Not by itself. By itself it isn't part of anything. Well, if it is a rap song then, by itself, it is at least a part of music.
Now Richard will reply, but of course I didn't mean by itself. And then I will reply, fine, then go bring me the rest of it so that I can see what you are claiming it is part of. If he brings me a full STEM curriculum then I will say "Yes, it is part of STEM."
