I'm sitting down with my Algebra 1 colleague right now. We're going to teach topics B, C and D first as they are more straightforward. I understand that topic A is supposed to be an introduction to the year but as we reviewed and made our own lesson based on the state's lesson we feel that these topics are much too heavy to work on while kids are coming out of their summer hibernation from schoolwork. Also, it seems as though as the statistics unit deals with modeling that topic A from module 1 might better be taught at the beginning of the statistics module 2. I'm very interested in hearing what people think about all of this.
