Responding to Jerry Becker's post of Jul 19, 2013 12:16 AM pointing to http://science.org.au/news/media/17july13.html, I believe Jonathan Crabtree had already posted on that - twice over (as a matter of fact), once as "Are Australians more ignorant than Americans" and then as "Survey Shock! ... " (http://mathforum.org/kb/thread.jspa?threadID=2582520).
