I am not pitting programming against math. I make my living programming. Mathematical reasoning is just much more fundamental than programming. And why stop at math Kirby? Why not wage your war on language arts as well. I mean, programming is certainly rich in grammar and syntax. But there's a rather troublesome problem with that analogy. Language arts deals with natural language and programming doesn't. I bet if you study it hard enough you will find that is the same problem when comparing programming to mathematics.
