With respect to the training method recommended by Robert Hansen, namely:

"Children must be taught (math; and presumably everything else) by PUSHING and GOADING!" (If unavoidable, and strictly as a last resort, they may be ENCOURAGED) (Robert Hansen - RH)

Attached herewith a picture of a "GOAD", a useful instrument in the training of elephants.

(This is provided just as an item of general interest, as useful knowledge. I'm NOT in the least suggesting that RH recommends the application of this fine instrument to train children in mathematics).
