A debugged program is manifestly not equivalent to the buggy version. Why should you regard a debugged formula as equivalent to the buggy one?

Mathematica returns the following:

Power::infy: Infinite expression 1/0 encountered.

Infinity::indet: Indeterminate expression 0 ComplexInfinity encountered.

Indeterminate

It also returns False for TrueQ[(t^2 - 9)/(t - 3) == t + 3]
