(t^2-9)/(t-3) = 6
<=> (t+3)*(t-3)/(t-3) = 6
<=> t+3 = 6, for t!=3
<=> t=3. IMPOSSIBLE!

I.e., for the reasons repeatedly explained by others, that equation has no
solutions.

You'd know how that makes sense if you had for instance used algebra to
solve geometry problems, where the restrictions on the domain usually
correspond to impossible geometrical cases, but the purely algebraic reason
remains: you cannot simplify out 0/0.
