I am saddened to see that my pal Androcles thinks that the essence of what many perceive as space and aether is limited to an aether.
I must point out to my pal, that objects can be plotted on maps
and copies of the map can be widely distributed,
and a common reference such as the average size of a pea can be used to convey
information about the objects to folks who have access to the map copies.
The maps can be used to store, maintain, analyze, correlate and make models of the relationships between the objects on the map,
BUT the map is NOT the territory.
The map used to store, maintain, analyze, correlate and make models of the relationships between the real world objects is Euclidean geometry,
and through some people project spaces and aethers onto the relationships between real world objects, they lose sight of the fact that the map is NOT the territory.
In other words, sentient beings use real world objects [ Like peas. ] and repetitive effects [ Like the period of an atomic clock.]
to quantize the order and relationships of real world objects and after they transfer the quantizations to a Euclidean map in their mind, some confuse the map with the territory.
