Likewise. Generally at university a lecturer would understand his topic and not make such blatant mistakes.
I'd suggest that JG probably never attented a university (or if he did, he didn't understand and remember what was taught), and so is just guessing at what is taught there. His understanding of mathematics seems to be limited to primary and lower secondary school level .. he just can't cope with notions like real numbers and limits, nor anything more abstract. For him there only numbers are fractions and everything must be finite. Anything else seems to confus him, and so rather than admit his confusion he claims they don't exist .. eg sqrt(2) doesn't exist, as far as he is concerned there is no such number.
