R Hansen says: >If peers influence you to have sex and you become pregnant, does that have an effect on what you become? If peers influence you to become goth, does that have an effect on what you become? Peer pressure is one of the most influential things there is. Ideally, it shouldn?t be.
Become goth? Really? I guess I did enjoy chiller theater on Saturday nights. Does that make me goth? Just so you don't entirely miss the point of my mockery here, I don't find "goth" fashion statements to be a worthwhile measure of a person's character. Ditto for baggy shorts. I understand that for some, fashion *is* their life, but that's their character already, and the expression of it in one mode or another is hardly the cause. For others, fashions are merely superficial and come and go.
But no, my peers in school and the neighborhood had relatively little influence on my development.
