Re: Linda Coutts' remarks on the Mobius strip:  rather than have them cut,
first have them *predict* in groups, talk as a whole group about their
predictions (giving reasons), and only then cut. (I may be stating the
obvious here, in which case my apologies.)

Re: Cathy Brady's "where's the math?": If surfaces and edges aren't math,
what is? If geometric reasoning isn't math (see comment in first
paragraph), what is?
