Subject: Is Geometry the first Inspirational Math class?
While looking for information on another subject I noticed the "geometry-precollege" forum and recalled that it was the first class to get cause me excitement about mathematics.
Do we still wait until the 9th or 10th grade until we show students a problem that can't be solved by a hand calculator?
The magic to high school geometry seems to be that it shows that creativity is a huge part of math, while even high school calculus seems to do the opposite.
Sorry if this is a bit off topic.
