Subject: General angle division
Hello everyone.
I am looking for a geometrical solution (even a sketch of the solution) of the General Angle division (namely, the problem of dividing an arbitrary angle into any number of equal parts) involving the cycloid.
I am interested in a purely geometrical construction (which avoids, in other words, recourse to calculus or analytic geometry), since I am interested in the use of the cycloid during mid XVIIth century, when its analytic expression had not been developed yet.
Thank you in advance for your help,
