Hye All,
Exposure= Alcohol
Outcome=Lung cancer
Confounder =Smoking
Question:
1--How can I interpret crude Odd ratio of 1.60?
1 -- If I get an unadjusted odd ratio of 1.60 and an adjusted odd
ratio of 1.30... can I conclude that there is confounding between
unadjusted OR and adjusted OR?
2-- My Confidence interval for adjusted OR (1.00- 1.69) ... The lower
CI contains the value of null=1 ... How can I interpret this for
association between alcohol and lung cancer?
3-Corresponding p value = 0.047 ?
Can I conclude by saying that there is moderate evidence against null
hypothesis? Or Alcohol and lung cancer are not weakly confounded by
smoking??
Please answer all ...
