It is difficult to make sense of this.

Thus, for example, to claim that -1, the "Vedic zero", is the correct
zero is puzzling.

After all, it is zero, not -1, that has the property that when you add
it to something, the result is the same. Zero is the number that
refers to the situation when you do not have any of something.

One might as well claim that 5 is the new 4.
