By that argument, mathematics must also be a philosophy as many

mathematicians become doctors of philosophy.

Right! Mathematics is not a science and will not be a science until its

theorems can all be proven by physical experiment.

Which will never happen!

The Pythagorean theorem, for example, has over one hundred different

proofs, even one by a previous President of the USA, US Grant, but

absolutely none of those proofs rely on any way on any physical

experiment.
