Dear Dave
As you know from listening to me, Virginia definitely has state
standards, along with end of year course exams to evaluate if the
established standards have been taught. I don't think it would be
practical for the POW's to be aligned with any standards, since
standards, both NCTM and state, have a way of changing. We also have
local standards that differ from the NCTM and the state of Virginia
standards, so then what would we do? I think it is better for the
Forum to improve the search engine with the big topics and the tags to
help teachers search for whatever standard they are working on at any
part of the year. I think anything else is trouble!
