Firstly, I could able to extract only the laser stripe in my input image and obtained the pixel co-ordinates corresponding to the laser's red pixels. (There are almost 6000 co-ordinates). Is there any means by which I can make this data very crisp? From 6000 to around 500 points?

The smallest size a point can be is a single pixel. Then you need a least a pixel either size to make it distinct from the other points. The only solution: increase the resolution of your image.
