I would not mix scientific hypothesis and statements. I would not mix general and existence statements.
Experiments can verify simple statements and statements of hypothesis.
But they cannot verify rightness of hypothesis ( only improve its probability )
They can verify that something does exist, if found. They cannot verify that something does not exist, unless there is some verifyable stetement depending on that existence.
"flying pigs do exist" is existence statement that cannot be falsified by showing the opposite.
Scientific hypothesis and statements are only those that are falsifyable.
