Since the "old" (2005 NYS standards) regents exams will still be offered 2013-2014 are there districts that will only implement CCSS in Algebra next year and use the 2005 state standards for Geometry? Or is everyone implementing CCSS Algebra and Geometry next year?

So will students still be able to earn two high school credits for Algebra (algebra split over two years)? or must all students take Algebra in one year?

At this point there is no change; passing any one Math regents is the requirement. Again that is at this point in time.

Liz,
Thanks for passing this on. So now I pose the question to the group, how will graduation requirements change for mathematics given the changes to the curriculum? Has anyone heard anything?
