Hello,

Is there an arithmetic compression formula or algorithm that can be used to store
a numeric 64bit or numeric 32bit quantity in a compressed format into a numeric
16bit quantity?

Then, when needed, decompress back into a 32bit or 64bit quantity?

Is this a totally ridiculous request?? :-) :-)

Thanks,

Guru
