Our school district is implementing Investigaiotns in all K-2 classrooms in our district this year and next. Approximately 65 K-2 teachers will be on board by the end of next year. We are finding that as a full day kindergarten district, our teachers are looking for "more" in terms of content. We have also noticed that many of the games and activities are revisited in modules and many of K teachers feel that it is too repetitifve. As a curriculum office, we are committed to teaching math conceptually and we realize that this is a major shift for many of our teachers. We want to make sure that we aren't "missing" something that the program is offering conceptually by it's choice and format of activities. We are wondering if other districts feel that the K program needs to be supplemented when teaching full day. The 1 and 2 programs have not presented this issue. There are a few areas that we plan to supplement at 1-2, but the K issue seems to be larger. Is anyone else feeling this? Thanks MJ
