All Hudson will tell me is that I should continue to read his weekly column at www.geocities.com/chessdp. Of course I will, since I am his editor, but truthfully I have trouble digesting his analysis. But he has always been the better player.

But in my opinion, his conjecture would seem to give the game a somewhat simpler look than does the rival conjecture. It would be interesting to know how the game's inventors would view the matter.
