From: Eileen O'Brien Subject: 2005 DOE Math Content Institutes: 67.5 PDP, 3 Graduate Credits
We wish to bring to your attention two exciting Summer Content Institutes on mathematics. These Intensive Immersion Institutes (I^3) will be conducted by Dr. Andrew Chen, Dr. George Johnston, and Prof. Elaine Previte. The Institutes will start in early June and spaces are limited; please act now: apply online and also forward to your math colleagues.
The Institutes are designed to assist teachers to advance their deep understanding of important topics and their conceptual foundations, and to craft their pedagogy from that deep understanding.
Upon successful completion of an Institute, participants will obtain 67.5 PDPs at no cost. In addition, for participants who wish to obtain graduate credit, Fitchburg State College will award, for $225, three graduate credits. The best part, however, is the content gains and personal growth.
The titles of the Institutes, their dates, and their locations are as given below.
