On July 18, Udai Venedem wrote (regarding G. B. Dantzig):

"I happened to be in contact with him at the time he was at USC ... "

Dantzig never was at USC (the University of Southern California).
His academic career was spent at the University of California, Berkeley
and at Stanford University.
