Can anyone help with an general equation, approximation of a
time/temperature profile of a closed cylinder of steel with a wall
thickness and length, heated (soaked) to a temperature then cooled in
ambient air .
Not being a mathematician, nor physicist (I'm an artist), I don't know
much about heat transfer, but I guess that this is relatively straight
forward, though the complication of a contained volume of air within the
cylinder may make it difficult. Thanks.
