Cherwell Scientific announces the major new release of pro Fit 5.0 for
scientific data analysis and graph presentation on the Mac. Try out
pro Fit for free and see the difference pro Fit makes to your data analyses.

This new release of pro Fit offers many new unique features including the latest Apple
technology: AppleGuide, support for AppleScript, AppleEvents, QuickDraw GX, QuickDraw 3D
and Drag and Drop.

To obtain a free copy of pro Fit, please visit our web site at

pro Fit is also available from sumex-aim mirror sites in the info-mac
directory under the maths and scientific software

New features designed to help those in engineering, research and education include:
* "Preview" Window: a unique new way of visualizing the effects of varying parameters on
functions. Users click and drag on curves to change data points.
* New drawing and plotting features including full color support, zooming to 400%, 1/x and
probability scaling and multiple axes.
* Enhanced syntax and support for users to define their own external
programs and functions.

A tester's comments:
"The preview idea is absolutely great, especially the option to drag a fit
around using one free parameter at a time. This is a very fast and powerful
way to visualize parameter effects on the fit!"
T. E. Moore, MacSciTech Users Group

This trial version of pro Fit has ALL the features of the full software but
will expire at the end of September 1996. A Guided Tour explains all the new
features and shows pro Fit in action. pro Fit has an optimized version for Power Mac and
is also available for FPU and
non-FPU Macs.

We hope you enjoy this trial version and look forward to your comments using
the pro Fit discussion group (details available from the pro Fit Home Page).

Best wishes
