You are stretching an elastic band at a constant rate of 2cm per second (holding, of course, the ends of the band between index finger and thumb of each hand). The moment you start stretching the band an ant starts walking from your left thumb towards your right thumb at a constant speed of 1cm per second. Will the ant ever reach your right thumb? (Disregard all practical limitations like arms length etc)
